Jeannie Iverson

Bio

Ms. Iverson is a Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE) from the Board of Certification in Professional Ergonomics (BCPE) and has been a practicing ergonomist for over sixteen years, receiving her Master’s Degree in Human Factors Ergonomic Engineering and an additional Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from San Jose State University. Ms. Iverson completed her undergraduate degree in Environmental Science where she specialized in CAL OSHA compliance with regards to mitigation of risk in various work settings. While completing this degree, she simultaneously completed five years of prerequisite coursework to apply for the Master’s program in physical therapy at various accredited colleges while acquiring thousands of hours towards hands on experience working in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Ms. Iverson has honed her skills with the field of Ergonomics as a Root Cause Analysis expert and specializes with manufacturing and material handling work environments in addition to laboratory and office settings. She has also been the project leader for numerous Usability studies that involve development and assessment of well-known peripheral products from companies such as Logitech, Goldtouch, Microsoft, Kinesis, DXT, Posturite, Contour, and 3-M.

Melissa Afterman

Melissa Afterman is a Board Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE) with over twelve years of ergonomics experience in office, lab and material handling work environments. She provides technical support and project management to worldwide corporations and start-up companies alike. Ms. Afterman performs proactive and comprehensive injury-related assessments for individual workers and also special projects for optimizing multi-user work areas, design/redesigning furniture or workstations and for integrated process improvements. She regularly delivers classroom training in multiple curricula including Office and Lab Ergonomics and Back Safety. As a Senior Ergonomist with VSI, Ms. Afterman has developed, implemented and grown corporate ergonomics programs and worked with global equipment manufacturers to create online and video training material.

Terri Schonbrod

Associate Ergonomics Specialist

Terri Schonbrod had been a practicing Occupational Therapist since 1982 and a hand therapy Specialist for over 18 years. She joined the VSI team as a full time ergonomics specialist 3 years ago and received her Certified Industrial Ergonomist (CIE) credential in 2012.

Ms. Schonbrod hones her skill set in the office, lab and hospital work environments specializing in Workers Compensation evaluations where she performs root cause analysis and provides recommendations for mitigation, improvement, and overall wellness for the employee. Her other areas of expertise include implementing usability studies for ergonomic tools, employee training in office ergonomics and back safety and she has presented at the National Ergonomics Conference on musculoskeletal injuries and root cause analysis.

Ms. Schonbrod received her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy and became a Certified Hand Therapist in 2004. She also holds her certification as a Certified Industrial Ergonomist (CIE) from the Oxford Training Institute and is planning to sit for the Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE).

Doreen Shew

Associate Ergonomics Specialist

Doreen Shew’s physical and educational background has given her unique insight into the convergence of movement and biomechanics. Her foundation in movement is based upon gymnastics where she competed internationally as an elite level gymnast and was ranked 12th nationally by the United States Gymnastics Federation. She continues to physically challenge herself and test her knowledge of body movement with all types of physical activities. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical Education with Honors from the University of California at Berkeley where she was a full scholarship athlete. She continued on to complete her Master of Physical Therapy degree at Samuel Merritt College where she received an academic scholarship. Doreen believes a balanced body is an integral part of good health and all parts of a persons life contribute to a persons overall well being.

Alfonso Mejorado

Mr. Mejorado earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Kinesiology with a Minor in Psychology from Notre Dame de Namur University and he is a certified Ergonomic Assessment Evaluator by The Back School of Atlanta. In addition to his experience and knowledge in the rehabilitative field of Physical Therapy and wellness, Mr. Mejorado provides ergonomic program support in standard office and mobile work environments. He supports VSI clients in workstation set up and human-tool solutions for specific physical needs and technical applications. Additionally, Mr. Mejorado has experience leading teams and implementing safe body mechanics and lifting techniques for material handling work environments.

Anna Rampton

Ergonomics Support Specialist
Bio

Ms. Anna Rampton has been a part of the VSI team since 2014 as an Ergonomic Support Specialist. Due to her passion for research and writing as it relates to anatomy and biomechanics, Anna has honed her skill set as a medical research writer.

Before being recruited by VSI, Anna worked as a Presales Support Specialist for a branch of Prolifics; a Fortune 500 software testing company located in the San Francisco Bay Area. During that time, Anna collaborated with the marketing team on customer communication efforts. Prior to that role, Ms. Rampton worked for Starbucks as a Project Manager and has ten years of collective customer service experience with that company, often exceeding store metrics amongst other Starbucks locations.

Ms. Rampton is currently a candidate for a B.S. in Psychology with a minor in biological sciences. She currently holds certifications in Food Safety from her prior project management role with Starbucks, and as a certified quality assurance software tester through the American Software Testing Qualifications Board (ASTQB).

Ms. Rampton prides herself on her ability to provide VSI clients, and her VSI associates, with invaluable project research support. She assists in the field at various client sites with special projects and with ergonomic assessments. Anna is also the acting VSI liaison with workers compensation representatives, facility managers, information technology support teams, and ergonomic product vendors; her excellent interpersonal communication skills and project management abilities provide exceptional service that supports VSI in surpassing the expectations of our clients.

Yolanda Everett

Yolanda Everett joined VSI in 2015 as an Administrative Assistant. She has a strong background in customer service and logistics. Prior to joining our team she worked as a support representative at a telecommunications company where she performed finance operational task along with providing customer service support, and technical support assistance. Yolanda’s experience has allowed her to demonstrate her abilities within this company by providing outstanding customer service and using the attention to detail she has to maintain scheduling and daily office needs. Yolanda provides VSI with support in scheduling and customer service.

Christina Fleetham

Bio

Ms. Christina Fleetham Joined the VSI team in 2014 as an Ergonomics Support Specialist. She plays an integral role in the daily operations of the company, specializing in report writing. Prior to joining VSI, she worked at a tax preparation office as an Office Manager in Maui, HI for over 7 years. At this position she gathered extensive knowledge, customer service skills and technical skills that are needed to run a busy office. Christina has excellent organizational and communication skills and this is reflected in her ability to provide her business associates and clients with exceptional service.

Ms. Fleetham prides herself an artist, and has worked as a sculptor for a world renowned Silversmith.

Angelique Turner

Angelique joined the VSI team in 2016. She has a combined background in sales,customer service, and basic healthcare. She attended College of Alameda and Merritt College where she received an Associates Degree in Health Sciences. She also obtained certification as a Nursing Assistant where she learned important skills such as time management, critical thinking, and problem solving while caring for others. With a spark of interest in customer service, Angelique used those skills to begin working as an inventory and support specialist at a telecommunications company where she performed audit operational projects along with providing customer service support. In that position, she gathered a plethora of knowledge, business skills, and organizational skills required to master an admin position. Angelique’s diverse experience has allowed her to substantiate her skills within this company by providing exceptional service while simultaneously maintaining scheduling and daily office needs.
